Abstract
The organic rice mina system is an example of the application of organic farming that is environmentally friendly and can reduce negative impacts on the surrounding environment. The organic rice mina system can be applied as an alternative option from the dangers caused by conventional rice systems, namely the application of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. The negative impact of synthetic fertilizer pesticides is that it can kill aquatic organisms. This study aims to determine the abundance diversity of aquatic macro organisms, in organic and conventional mina rice fields. The research was conducted in Jlegongan hamlet, Margodadi village, sub-district Seyegan, Sleman district, Yogyakarta Special Region. Pests were sampled by purposive sampling using the light Trap and Sweeping Net methods. Pest samples were taken four times, namely two taking the vegetative phase and two taking the generative phase. The results showed that the macro diversity of aquatic organisms was classified as moderate in organic rice fields and was not significantly different from conventional rice fields. The dominance index in Mina Padi land is closer to 1, which means that the abundance of macro aquatic organisms is quite high. The macro of aquatic organisms in the organic paddy fields of conventional rice fields is quite evenly distributed.
