Abstract
This study aims to determine the application of Islamic values in recruitment and their impact
on employee performance at BPRS Madina Syariah Yogyakarta and BMT Riyadhul Jannah
Bekasi Barat. This type of research is qualitative research. Data were collected using
interviews, observation, and documentation. The population in this study were branch heads,
managers, and HRD at BPRS Madina Syariah Yogyakarta and BMT Riyadhul Jannah Bekasi
Barat. The data analysis technique used in this research is triangulation analysis. The results
of the study indicate that BPRS Madina Syariah Yogyakarta and BMT Riyadhul Jannah Bekasi
Barat have implemented Islamic values as a standard of assessment for prospective employees.
This is intended to get employees who are competent in doing work in accordance with Sharia
elements. In this case, BPRS Madina Syariah Yogyakarta applies characters that reflect the
Prophet Muhammad, namely Siddiq, Amanah, Fatanah, and Tabligh so that in their work they
can improve their performance.
