Abstract
Agricultural systems such as lembaran and surjans paddy field have
different vegetation and can affect the diversity of insects including parasitoid
insects. This research was conducted to determine the effect of lembaran and
surjan farming systems on parasitoid diversity and its abundance. The study was
conducted by survey method on three lembaran and three surjan paddy fields. The
study was conducted in the District of Panjatan, Kulonprogo, Special Region of
Yogyakarta. Sampling was carried out using a yellow sticky trap, sweeping net,
and yellow pan trap. The results showed that parasitoid insects were found in
3924 individuals, 17 families, and 61 species. Agricultural systems do not affect
the diversity of parasitoid insects, but affect lembaran higher than surjan their
abundance. The results of the Non-metric Multidimensional Scaling (NMDS)
analysis showed that the composition of parasitoids in lembaran paddy field tends
to be different from those in surjan paddy field.
