Abstract
Hypothermia is a newborn baby where the baby's body temperature is less
than 34°C so special treatment is needed. Infant warmer is a device used to warm
babies who have hypothermia and premature babies. An infant warmer is a life
support tool that helps babies with hypothermia survive and stabilize the baby's
body temperature. Infant warmers are also a temporary shelter for babies to
stabilize body temperature.
Infant warmers use a heater that is used to generate heat for the irradiated
baby's body. DS18B20 temperature sensor as a measurement or reading of skin
temperature and room temperature from the infant warmer. There is also a
control that is used to control the heat generated and also as a safety system if
there is a problem with the tool such as the tool cannot detect room temperature
and skin temperature, the control system will turn on the alarm and will turn off
the tool automatically. The test was carried out with a comparison tool, namely
thermohygroneter fluke, the highest steady state error value at room temperature
was 0.9 at 33 oC and the lowest was 0.1 at 36 oC.
