Abstract
Body temperature, BPM, and SpO2 are important parameters that must be
monitored in patients to be known their health condition so the disease can be
detected early. One of the tools used to monitor body temperature, BPM, and
SpO2 is a bedside monitor. Bedside monitor that exist so far still have
lack/shortcomings because the sensor used has a large error that allows falsestep at the time of diagnosis. For that, a bedside monitor is needed that can help
the process of monitoring the patient's health condition in real-time conducted by
medical workers to avoid human error. In this research, the authors will design a
bedside monitor that can monitor body temperature by utilizing the DS18B20
body temperature sensor and heart rate reading (BPM) using AD8332 and
oxygen levels in the blood (SpO2) by applying the MAX30100 sensor. Data
processing uses Arduino with the output to be displayed on the TFT LCD.
Measurements were taken using the Pulse Oxymetry, Thermometer, and ECG
Simulator comparison tools with good results, for BPM the highest error value of
0.013% at the heart rate of 140, for SpO2 the highest error value of 0.028%,and
the temperature the highest error value of 0.39%. The measurement comparison
results between the modules made with each comparison are still at a tolerance
limit of +5% for BPM and SpO2 and +0.5% for body temperature, so the tool can
be said to function properly.
