Abstract

Not all countries can handle COVID-19 in their country optimally. This thing
happens because they lack health equipment that is useful to fight against COVID19. South Korea is one of the countries that has succeeded in eradicating COVID19 in their country. Due to this issue, South Korea assists its partners in reducing
COVID-19 cases. South Korea also helps its partners by carrying out economic
diplomacy through existing means. Of the three countries that received assistance,
one of them was Indonesia. Indonesia is one of South Korea's partners enhancing
the friendship by Special Strategic Partnership and the only special partner of
South Korea in Southeast Asia. Because of this, this study will discuss why South
Korea has given priority to COVID-19 assistance to Indonesia.
