Abstract
One of the goals of zakat management is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of services in zakat processing. However, in reality there are several obstacles in the community or in the collection and distribution committee of zakat fitrah, especially in the field of facilities and infrastructure for the management of zakat fitrah which are less able to facilitate and accelerate zakat managers in distributing zakat fitrah. Technological developments that are increasingly rapidly increasing day by day make people increasingly aware that to improve the performance of the zakat committee in managing zakat fitrah, an applied technological innovation is needed to overcome these problems. Therefore, a design for processing zakat fitah rice was made with a monitoring system based on LabVIEW. This tool serves to weigh the collected rice through the loadcell sensor which will be processed using a microcontroller. Then the results of the scales are displayed on a LabVIEW-based interface and later this tool can calculate the total weight of the collected zakat fitrah. In addition, this tool can later be used to pack zakat rice automatically. After the design and manufacture of the tool design and testing, the results of the load cell weighing test have an average error value of 0.22%. During collection mode, if the result from weighing is more than equal to the input weight value from the LabVIEW display, there will be a notification that the character “Rice is Enough” appears on the LCD and the buzzer does not sound. The system for adding or calculating the total amount of rice collected has the appropriate results between manual calculations and calculations performed by the LabVIEW display. Then, during packing mode there is an error value in the rice packing process of 2.7%. This error occurs because the remaining rice is still flowing from the valve door of the rice container which is still in the process of closing. Then from 10 packing experiments carried out, the number of bags and the total amount of packed rice were the same as those shown in LabVIEW
