Abstract
The availability of phosphate nutrients in large quantities but only a little is
available to plants is one of the limiting factors for soybean plant growth. One of
the efforts to make phosphate nutrients that are not available available is by
adding corn plants that are in symbiosis with MVA in providing phosphate
nutrients for their host plants as interplants between soybeans. The purpose of
this study was to determine the effect of various proportions of soybean and corn
populations on the availability of phosphate nutrients in the soil. The research
was conducted using a single factor field experiment method, which was arranged
in a single plot field design. The treatment tested was the proportion of the
population of soybean and corn which consisted of 4 proportions, namely 2:1,
3:1, 4:1, and 5:1. The parameters observed included analysis of soil nutrients and
plant tissue with the time of observation, namely in the early vegetative phase,
maximum vegetative, early generative, and maximum generative. The results of
the research showed that phosphate nutrient dynamics occurred during soybean
growth with a total P content of < 0.4% and a available P content of < 0.0015%
(very low), with values that did not differ much in each population proportion of
soybean and corn in each phase of plant growth.
