Abstract
Indonesia is a country with a majority Muslim population. The State of the
Global Islamic Economy reports that in 2018 the Muslim population spending on
halal food, medicine and lifestyle based on Islamic ethics reached USD 2.2 trillion
and is expected to reach USD 3.2 trillion by 2024 (Indonesia Lifestyle, 2018).
Center, 2018). In this regard, the halalness of a product is a necessity, not only
having an impact on the spiritual state. Someone using halal products also has an
impact on health where halal products provide guarantees of cleanliness, security,
and safety. The level of knowledge is one of the factors that can influence attitudes
and behavior regarding halal pharmaceutical products. This study aims to determine
the relationship between the level of knowledge with attitudes and behavior
regarding halal pharmaceutical products at pharmacists in Yogyakarta City
pharmacies.
This research was conducted with a non-experimental quantitative research
design with a survey method using a questionnaire as the main instrument in data
collection and carried out with a cross-sectional approach. The sample used as many
as 35 pharmacies with 48 pharmacists who perform pharmacy services in
pharmacies in Yogyakarta. Sampling was carried out using the Total Sampling
method, which met the research inclusion criteria. The data analysis technique used
in this study is the Spearman Rank statistic test.
The results of the study were based on the Spearman Rank statistical test of
the relationship between knowledge levels and attitudes, the p value was 0.359 >
0.05. While the relationship between the level of knowledge and behavior obtained
a p value of 0.079 > 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is no significant
relationship between the level of knowledge on attitudes and behavior regar
