Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of memorizing Al-Qur’an on the
psychological well-being and learning motivation of the hafidz and hafidzah (male
and female Muslims who memorize the Al-Qur’an) at the Institut Ilmu Al-Qur’an
(IIQ) An-Nur. This research is quantitative which includes 42 hafidz and hafidzah
who have been able to memorize 1-5 juz (sections in Al-Qur’an). The technique
used to collect data was through interview, observation, questionnaire and
documentation. The questionnaire in this study involves Al-Qur'an memorization,
psychological well-being and learning motivation. This study uses simple linear
regression data analysis. From simple linear regression analysis with a
significance level or probability of 0.000 <0.05, two conclusions are obtained:
first, the Sig value is 0.029 on the analysis of memorizing the Al-Qur'an and
learning motivation, this means that memorizing the Al-Qur'an has an effect on
learning motivation of 11.4%. Second, the Sig value is 0.031 on the analysis of
memorizing the Al-Qur'an and psychological well-being, this means that
memorizing the Al-Qur'an also affects psychological well-being by 11.2%.
