MANAJEMEN CAIRAN PADA PASIEN HEMODIALISIS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS HIDUP DI RSUD DR. HARJONO PONOROGO

Patients with chronic renal failure requiring renal replacement therapy for life. One of renal replacement therapy is hemodyalisis. Patient experiencing hemodialisa will experience of degradation quality of life.Fluctuating quality of life of hemodialysis patients, because health is influenced by physical, psychological, level of independence, social relationships, personal beliefs and their relationship with the environment. Fluid management assist patient of adapating with change of health status and improve the quality of life. This study uses an experimental research design with pre-test post-test approach to controls. Samples taken in this study were patients who came in hemodialysis unit dr. Harjono Ponorogo to undergo hemodialysis in December 2012 - February 2013 some 11 people. Samples were divided into an intervention group of 6 people and a control group of 5 people are randomly assigned. Data taken 2 periods, before the first stage and the second stage of the intervention was done after the intervention was done as well as monitoring of fluid balance during hemodialysis 12-16 times. The results showed that the quality of life of patients treated group was higher (53.82) than the control group (39.33). There were no differences in changes in quality of life based on the SF-36 questionnaire KDQOL, between treatment groups with the control group with p = 0.074. Hemodialysis patients require nursing assistance for counseling about the disease, lifestyle changes, the process of acceptance and appreciation for the disease as well as patient compliance psychological reinforcement. Research on fluid management can be developed further to improve the quality of life for hemodialysis patients with larger sample sizes and longer periods of 2 months
