Abstract
Background : At present, health services will be adapted to the increasingly
complex needs of patients so that there needs to be a design that leads to change
and is effective. These changes can be formed with the practice of collaboration
between professions starting from the academic level through interprofessional
education (IPE) learning programs. Perception is one of the important things to
support the ongoing interprofessional education (IPE) activities.
Research purpose : This study aims to find out how perception of School of
Nursing students towards interprofessional education (IPE) in Universitas
Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.
Research method: The method in this research is quantitative with descriptive
design and cross sectional approach. The subjects of this study were 139 students
of School of Nursing UMY from the class of 2016 and 2017. The measurement of
student perceptions used the Interdiciplinary Education Perception Scale (IEPS)
questionnaire. Analysis of the data used univariate analysis.
Result : The results of this study indicate that students of School of Nursing UMY
have a very good perception of interprofessional education (IPE) learning.
