Abstract

Curriculum 2013 is the newest curriculum so that many teachers may not have clear understanding about the implementation of Curriculum 2013. This study aims at finding out the teachers’ understanding on the implementation of curriculum 2013 at SMP N 04 Kalibening, Banjarnegara. In addition, this study also aims at investigating the implementation of Curriculum 2013 at SMP N 04 Kalibening, Banjarnegara. To undertake the study, the researcher takes qualitative approach as the methodological approach. To gather the data at the research site at SMP N 04 Kalibening, Banjarnegara, the researcher used interviews and he interviewed six teachers as the respondents of this study. The findings reveal that the teachers understand how to implement Curriculum 2013 indicated from the understanding toward their roles in the teacher roles in the process of drafting syllabus, in the process of provision of books, in the process of preparing lesson plan, in the process of learning activities, in the use of ICT subjects, in the use of computer media in teaching, in implementing scientific approach, and in the additional hours for the lesson. The findings also reveal that teachers face several obstacles in the implantation of this curriculum due to the absence of availability of facilities including internet acess, computer, and LCD projector
