Abstract
Halalness in food products is an important thing for Muslims and the law is
compulsory as has been regulated in the Al-Qur'an in letter Al Maidah verse 88.
Currently, food products are processed using technology that is increasingly
sophisticated, therefore consumers cannot know the halalness of food manually
but with halal assurance that has been tested through MUI. The sausage is
processed foods with high technology, the sausage also being circulating widely
in the community with various types and brands but not all sausages made from
beef or chicken labeled halal on the packaging. so that this research is used to
determine the public's interest in buying sausage products labeled halal MUI.
This study aims to determine the public's knowledge about halaness officials from
MUI halal, knowing attitudes, subjective norms, behavioral control and public
interest Wirokerten village to buy sausage Halal MUI. This research was
conducted in Wirokerten Village, selected into two, namely Kepuh Kulon Hamlet
which is close to the cottage and Dusun Grojogan which is far from the cottage.
The sampling technique used accidental sampling with as many as 120
housewives. The analysis technique uses the Theory of Planned Behavior by Ajzen
and Fishbein. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the people's
attitude in buying sausages labeled halal MUI was neutral with the average score
in the hamlet near the cottage was 14.00 and far from the cottage was 13.72, the
subjective norm in the two hamlets was neutral with an average score near the
cottage. is 14.54 and far from the hut is 14.56, the behavior control in both dudun
is neutral with the average score of the hamlet near the pondok is 15.11 and far
from the cottage is 14.40. The interest in buying sausage products labeled halal
by MUI in the two hamlets is moderate with the average score near the cottage is
14.51 and far from the cottage is 14.27.
