Abstract
Almost every work unit or government agency had problems in the field of human resources, especially regarding the low level of performance. Such problems are being experienced by Pelalawan District Secretariat Office. Suspected that the cause of low performance is the low Employees Skills, Attitudes and Knowledge to excel, The problem faced by Pelalawan District Secretariat Office is still low level of employee performance Pelalawan District Secretariat Office. From field surveys. these issues are expected to dissolution with increased efforts of workers. Employee performance is expected also to be increased with the increase in achievement for the staffi increase skills, attitudes and knowledge. Based on the above description, the study entitled "Effect of Dimensions of Competence to Performance and Career Opportunities Employee Pelalawan District Government Secretariat Office" By using a questionnaire, employee perception data on these variables, can be collected and analyzed. The result of descriptive analysis showed that all independent variables are good but still not optimal, so the performance level of employees is also not optimal, although it can be said higher. The result of inferential data analysis concluded that the direct variable Skills, Attitudes and Knowledge have an influence on performance, and together have a direct influence on Career Employee.Top test showed the existence of indirect influence. There are three models of indirect effect, the first one: XI 4 Yl 4 Y2 second X2 4YI -3 Y2 and third: X3 4Y1 4 Y2. Of the three model lines, it appeared that the path to Three. So the performance of employees will be increased if knowledge increases.
