Abstract
Humen resourses are the core of organizational capital. Basically, the company not only requires capable, competent and slcillful employees but the most important thing is that they are willing to work hard and to achieve optimal performance Orgaruzational commitment of an employee often being an important issue. Some organization are including comrnitment in the job specification, because it require to get some position at that organization. Organizational commitment will improve if we improving job satisfaction. If the employee were satisfied, they will be productive. Many researchs finding out the influences of job satisfaction on Organizational conunitinent. Both of the variable are depending each others. Depending factors ofjob satisfaction practically distincted two groups, there are intrinsic and esdrinsic factors. Intrinsic factors comes from individual itself. In this research, the writer is conjunting individual characteristic, job characteristic, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. This research was .aimed at finding the influence of individual characteristic, job characteristic and job satisfaction on organizational commitment. The analytic tool used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), which is integrated of Factor Analysis, Struciural Modd and Path Analysis. (Solimun, 2002:65). Respondents of this research are 100 teacher of Muhanunadiyah's school at Sidoarjo Region. The result of this research shows that: I. Individual characteristic variable (XI)lts positif and sienifirant influenee on job satisfaction variable (Y1), the influence are 77%. 2. Job characteristic variable (X2) has negatif influence on job satisfaction variable (Yl), the influence are -19%. 3. Individual characteristic variable (X1) has positif inf1uence on organizational commitment (Y2), the influence is not significant because only 10,2%. 4. Job characteristic variable (X2) has positif influence on organizational commitment (Y2), tho influence is not significant because only 8,8%. 5. job satisfaction variable (Y1) has positif and significant influence on job satisfaction variable (YI), the influence are 75%. The influence of individual characteristic on job satisfaction and orgartizational corrunitment proved positif dan significant. It means that respondent's job is accomodate their ability. They has good attitude and attention with their job. This condition will involving both of job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
