PENGARUH EKSPOR NETTO, PERBEDAAN TINGKAT BUNGA, DAN HUTAN LUAR NEGERI TERHADAP NILAI TUKAR RUPIAH (TERHADAP DOLAR) PASCA PENERAPAN SISTEM KURS MENGAMBANG BEBAS PADA TANGGAL 14 AGUSTUS 1997

ln free floating system, exchange rate is determined by the market condition and its continues change. ln the foreign exchange rate market, this system does not rely on governrnent's intervention but it merely relies on aspuuses of exchange rate movement which is detennined by fimdamental factors. The research aimed at identyfing problems emerging ori the relation between fundamental factors, e.g. export net, interest rate, foreign debt and rupiah interest rate to US dollar after the floating system was implemented on August 14, 1997. The research used monthly data as many as 52 sarnples starting from September 1997 to December 2001. This research used multiple linier regression. Based on multiple linier regression model of thc 52 samples, the result showed that export net, interest rate and foreign debt have relation with the change of rupiah exchange rate in a short lime.
