Abstract
Background: Indonesian Medical Council Regulation Number 30 of 2014 concerning dental education institutions must ensure the availability of educational facilities for professional students. Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 20 of 2003 concerning the availability of infrastructure in each formal and non-formal education unit. Facilities are divided into medical and non-medical facilities. Medical facilities such as dental units and surgical instruments. Non-medical facilities such as waiting rooms and parking. Effective and adequate facilities have an impact on student satisfaction scores. The results showed that student satisfaction will affect academic achievement, student motivation and student retention. Purpose: This study aims to describe the satisfaction of clinical dental student 2019 grade with medical and non-medical facilities at RSGM Muhammadiyah University Yogyakarta. Methods: The type of research used is descriptive research with cross sectional design. The subjects in this study were 107 students of the dental profession class of 2019 who were selected using the total sampling method. The research instrument was in the form of a satisfaction questionnaire for medical and nonmedical facilities. Data analysis used univariate and presented in the form of a frequency distribution. Result: Based on gender, the highest level of satisfaction with medical facilities was in the "satisfied" category by male respondents, amounting to 20 (76.9%) while the highest non-medical facilities were in the "satisfied" category by female respondents, amounting to 60 (74.1%). A total of 75 (75.8%) respondents aged 23- 25 years chose the "satisfied" category with medical facilities and 7 (87.5%) respondents aged 26-29 years chose the "satisfied" category in non-medical facilities. The highest level of student satisfaction with medical facilities was in the "satisfied" category, which was 62.53% with the highest score on the pharmacy installation items available at RSGM UMY being adequate. The highest level of student satisfaction with non-medical facilities was in the "satisfied" category, namely 68.22% with the highest score on the available ladder items in good condition and comfortable to use. Conclusion: The level of satisfaction of professional students with medical and non-medical facilities at RSGM UMY is in the satisfied category.
