OPTIMALISASI DIPLOMASI DIGITAL INDONESIA SEBAGAI UPAYA PERLINDUNGAN WNI MELALUI KEBIJAKAN APLIKASI SAFE TRAVEL DI ERA COVID-19 TAHUN 2019 - 2021

This study discusses optimizing Indonesia's digital diplomacy as an effort to protect Indonesian citizens through the Safe Travel application policy in the 2019- 2021 era of Covid-19. This study aims to find out and explain in more detail the use of safe travel applications which are the implementation of digital diplomacy to protect Indonesian citizens abroad in the pandemic era. The research method used is qualitative with data collection methods where data collection techniques in this study include literature study, document tracking, and information disclosure. The framework used in this research is public diplomacy, e-diplomacy, and protection of Indonesian citizens. This study explains that the safe travel application is a form of digital diplomacy with the latest innovations in addition to the use of social media. Also, the features in the safe travel application such as information on time differences, security conditions, laws and local customs of service at the Indonesian Embassy / Consulate General / KRI, and information regarding immigration requirements that can be accessed with only this 1 application, then this is much more efficient. which in this pandemic era is really needed because it can support the COVID-19 spread program where people's mobility can be minimized.
