Abstract
Technological developments have made Instagram's popularity soaring along with the increasing number of users. The use of Instagram is also not only used for personal enjoyment, but is also used to educate/provide information to the public. One of the accounts is the Instagram account @MenjadiManusia.Id, an account that has diverse content is a social-platform for those who want to share & hear stories about life from various points of view, one of the content is #CeritaPendek. This study aims to determine and describe the responses of followers to the #CeritaPendek content by using response theory with the S-O-R model. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method obtained directly through interviews with the six informants. The results of the study show that the way followers know Instagram @MenjadiManusia.Id can be found from friends' Instastory on Instagram, social media Youtube @MenjadiManusia.Id, TikTok @MenjadiManusia.Id and personal Instagram search homepage. Judging from the influence of response factors based on perceptions, it shows that from 6 informants, there are 4 informants influenced by internal factors in the form of individual motivation and personality, and 2 informants influenced by external factors in the form of surrounding needs and information obtained. Then viewed from the content responses, there was 1 informant giving a different response due to communication barriers, while from changes based on the type of response there were responses to opinions, feelings and behavior, where from the six informants there were 3 behaviors that did not change because they had communication barriers in the form of behavioral barriers. However, the majority of informants knew and gave positive responses to messages conveyed by #CeritaPendek content on Instagram @MenjadiManusia.Id.
