Abstract
The mass vaccination program during the COVID-19 period is an effort of "Public Goods" carried out by the government in obligatory Public Health Functions to create " Herd Immunity" . The government said that the Covid-19 vaccination is an obligation for all citizens to realize and create public health. Communication of the vaccination program carried out by the government of the Special Region of Yogyakarta through social media, because social media has the ability to enter the personal realm of its users and also social media does not recognize space because people get information easily, through social media facebook and twitter. the media as a form of information and public education about vaccines. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method in order to find out how the activities and communication patterns carried out by the Yogyakarta Special Region Government towards the covid-19 vaccination program. This study shows that the Facebook and Twitter @Kominfo DIY accounts carry out intense vaccination communications, information on vaccine implementation and vaccine education for eradicating fake news continues to be communicated transparently. Kominfo DIY's facebook and twitter social media accounts are also connected with several stakeholders such as DIY Public Relations and the Jogja Area in conveying information on Covid-19 vaccinations.
