Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the principle of good governance on the performance of the village government with the quality of public services during the COVID-19 pandemic as an intervening variable with an empirical study of the Village Government in Batang Regency. This study uses a random sampling technique used to collect quantitative data. The data used in this research is primary data using questionnaire data from 100 village government respondents in Batang Regency which is then analyzed using SPSS software application analysis tool version 25.00. The results of this study prove that good governance has a positive effect on the quality of public services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Good governance has a positive effect on the performance of the village government. The quality of public services during the COVID-19 pandemic has a positive effect on the performance of the village government. Good governance has an indirect and significant positive effect on the performance of the village government through the quality of public services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
