Abstract
A man in the family is a leader who makes and determines decisions in the continuity of the family. The father figure is often the dominant figure in the family. But the father figure who adheres totoxic masculinityshould be able to balance between the roles of fathers and mothers in influencing the family. The patriarchal culture of toxic masculinity also appears in the NKCTHI film as a representation of the social reality that is raised by the film's presenter. Film is one form of media in the form of moving images, which serves as a medium for delivering messages, including films as a socio-cultural representation of society. This research uses paradigmsemiotic analysis carried out by Roland Barthes through denotation, connotation, and myth. So that it can further interpret the dialogue, shooting, and movements of the players.In this film, there are several scenes shown by Narendra's character as a form of representation of toxic masculinity, such as Narendra being overprotective to his children, limiting the personal life of his children, and controlling the feelings and behavior of his wife. The patriarchal culture that occurs in this film can lead to conflicts between family members. So that in this film the patriarchal culture itself can be eliminated if the members who are dominated voice over what is happening and discuss the pressure exerted by the leader in the family.
