THE USE OF GOOGLE TRANSLATE IN LANGUAGE LEARNING

Students choose a practical and fast way to carry out the translation process from English to Indonesian or from Indonesian to English, namely using an online translation tool in the form of a translation application that can be on the Android system, Google Translate. This research aims to find out about the purpose of the application, what are the advantages and disadvantages of using the application.

The researcher searched for several participants in batch 2017 according to the researcher's target, preparing tools and materials to interview participants. The author wrote several answers from the participants according to the questions provided. After writing the participant's answer, the researcher matches the answer according to the research question. Next, the researcher wrote the conclusion from research questions like for academic and non-academic assignments, score result, fast, easy, free, has complete features, as foreign language media, increased selfconfidence, incorrect translation result, incorrect grammar, and incorrect idiom or phrases.
