Abstract
The Dekso – Klangon road has a length of 11.87 km with a primary collector road function, provincial road status, and medium road class (class III). Based on the Ministry of PUPR (2020) this road is a road link connecting the DIY Province with the Borobudur KSPN. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the accident, analyze the geometric suitability of the road with the Highways Guidelines (2021) using Autocad Civil 3D, and analyze the relationship between RVK and speed and accident rates. The results of the identification of accidents in 2019-2021 are, 5 (8.47%) front-front accidents, 47 (23.73%) front-side, 10 (16.95%) front-rear, 4 (6.78%) side-by-side, 5 (8.47%) hit humans, and dominated by single accidents by 21 (35.59%) accidents. Based on the identification of potential accidents in 2022, the results obtained are, 5 (3.21%) front-front accidents, 47 (30.13%) front-side, 3 (1.92%) front-rear, 4 (2, 56%), and dominated by side-side accident potential of 97 (62.18%) accident potential. The results of the geometric analysis of the road show that 13 of the 13 bends (100%) do not meet the Rmin and Lsmin values, 3 of 8 slopes (37.5%) do not meet the maximum slope, 1 of 8 slopes (12.5%) do not meet the critical slope, 7 out of 7 vertical curves (100%) do not meet JPH and JPM. The results of the analysis of the relationship between RVK and speed are the higher the RVK the lower the speed. The RVK range in 2019-2021 is 0.17-0.74 and in 2022 it is 0.15-0.19 with a speed of 52.69-57 km/hour. The result of the analysis of the relationship between RVK and the accident rate is that the greater the RVK value, the higher the accident rate. The accident rate in 2019-2021 ranges from 0.26-0.88 accidents/km and in 2022 it is 3.87-5.01 accidents/km.
