Abstract
Academic achievement is the result obtained after going through activities or efforts in the academic learning process. Achievements can be measured by symbols or numbers. At the level of higher education, learning achievement can be seen based from Grade Point Average (GPA). This research aims to find out the relationship between self-efficacy and interest in becoming a teacher with academic achievements of PAI students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The research used a quantitative approach with descriptive correlational method. Data collection technique in this study used questionnaire. The result of data analysis using correlational tests showed a significance value of 0.001 in self-efficacy with a correlation coefficient value of 0.361 categorized as moderate. Meanwhile interest showed a significance value of 0.000 with a correlation coefficient of 0.743 categorized as moderate. Self-efficacy and interest in becoming a teacher each had a positive relationship. When the selfefficacy in students was high then the academic achievement was also high and if the interest to become teachers was high then the academic achievement was high. The indicators of strength (the level of strength of confidence and hope) were the aspects that contributed the most to the variable of self-efficacy. Meanwhile, the indicator of attraction became the source that contributed the most to the variable of interests of becoming a teacher
