Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of performance measurement, reward, fairness, lecturer performance, lecturer performance on the performance of departemens at Muhammadiyah universities. This test uses the performance of the departements as the dependent variable, lecturer performance as a mediating variable, and performance measurement variables, reward, and fairness as independent variables. The samples used were lecturers of Muhammadiyah universities at the Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta, Ahmad Dahlan University, and Aisyiyah Yogyakarta University. This research uses purposive sampling method. The type of data used in this study is primary data by distributing questionnaires. Hypothesis testing in this study uses structural equation modeling analysis based on variance or partial least squares using the SmartPLS software application. The results showed that the measurement of performance, reward, and fairness had a positive effect on the performance of the departements. Reward has no effect on lecturer performance. Performance measurement has a positive effect on lecturer performance, and fairness has a positive effect on lecturer performance. Performance measurement, reward, and fairness have a positive effect on the performance of the departements when it is related to lecturer performance as a mediating variable.
