Abstract

Education is one of Muhammadiyah's strategic areas in realizing reforms to achieve the benefit of the Ummah. Success in the education field is largely determined by the quality of the teacher and education staff in the effective learning success. As a Muhammadiyah cadre, inspiration is required to have an attachment to Muhammadiyah organization and school. Organizations need human resources who have high interaction (engagement). Teachers are the main driver of student interaction. In addition, employee engagement is a means of alignment with organizational goals. Organizations need human resources who have high engagement. The involvement of teachers is the main driver of student involvement. This study aims to look at the factors that significantly influence the teacher’s engagement, especially the factors of organizational trust and distributive justice. In addition, to see the moderating effect of psychological empowerment in the influence of organizational trust on employee involvement and between distributive justice on employee engagement using the hierarchical regression analysis method. The results of the research analysis show that organizational trust has a significant effect on employee engagement, while distributive justice does not significantly affect employee engagement. In addition to these factors, psychological empowerment is shown to have a quasi-moderating effect in the effect of organizational trust on employee engagement.
