Abstract
Background : The Covid-19 pandemic has a very strong impact on nursing education, which was originally from face-to-face learning to online learning. One of the changes that occurred at PSIK UMY, namely the tutorial method, which has been done face-to-face to online. This makes students have to be able to learn from home, including when undergoing the tutorials. Purpose : The purpose of this study was to identify student perceptions of tutor performance in online problem-based learning tutorials and critical thinking skills of nursing students in School of Nursing UMY. Methods : This research is a cross sectional quantitative research. The sample was taken as many as 91 respondents using total sampling technique. The results of this research data analysis using univariate analysis. This research instrument uses a tutor performance questionnaire in PBL tutorials and critical thinking skills. Result : The characteristics of the respondents came from the 2019 FKIK UMY nursing students and were dominated by women. The results of the study showed that the tutor's performance on the online PBL tutorial was in good category (95.6%), while the critical thinking ability was lacking (54.9%). Conclusion : The description of the tutor's performance was in the good category, while the critical thinking ability was in the poor category. This is possible because students still need to adjust and adapt maximally to the learning system, especially online problem-based learning tutorials to improve the quality of learning.
