Abstract

The aiming of the study analyzes the roles of alliances in governments’ relationships between Bangladesh and Indonesia. In the epoch of prime minister Shaikh Hasina and President Joko Widodo of the Rohingya refugee issue (2017- 2020). The researcher conducted this thesis with secondary resources, for example, official websites, books, google scholars, news articles, journals, and published papers with the theory of International Relations, which are the ideologies such as idealism, realism, neorealism, liberalism, and neoliberalism. In purchase to obtain the settlement of the pressure, the government of Indonesia and Bangladesh plays effective diplomacy in approach the matter in bilateral, provincial, and multilateral. In summation, this research will explain further what kind of challenges Indonesia and Bangladesh faced on the Rohingya issue? To settle down with Myanmar and How both nations overcome it? And what are the roles in their governmental alliances played? Thus, with the completion of this investigation, Indonesia and Bangladesh have effective diplomatic administrative regulations. Indonesian government efforts, in this case, are very active compared to other Muslim countries in Asia. In reply to the Rohingya emigrant crisis and the maintaining of bilateral settlement with the Bangladesh government in focusing of Indonesia diplomacy is to find the arrangement of the refugee dilemma by approaching the root elements of the puzzle and intensifying the collaboration (origin, transition, and destination nation) in determining the crisis. Thus, the Bangladesh government also appreciated the efforts of the Indonesian authority by win-win bilateral relationships even the friendship is upon the reciprocal agreement. It is to suggest that the Bangladesh government should maintain an equal or more friendly bilateral settlement with the Indonesian government to keep these diplomatic relations effective and fruitful for both nations.
