Abstract
This study will discuss the management of the Yogyakarta Cultural
Festival 2020 event in attracting the number of online visitors during the covid 19
pandemic. The 2020 Yogyakarta Cultural Festival is a cultural event with a virtual
majority online organized by the DIY Culture Office.
The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method
where the data collected is in the form of images or related documents. The steps
for data collection were carried out through in-depth interview techniques,
documentation and relevant literature. Interviews were conducted with three
informants, namely Paksi Raras Alit (General Chair of FKY 2020), Gintani
Swastika (Creative Director of FKY 2020), Ovie Ermawati (Communication
Manager). Then the researcher collects data by conducting field research in order
to obtain the required data. The collected data is then tested by data triangulation
process.
The FKY 2020 event management goes through several stages, starting
with planning the date, location, theme, and program then organizing the human
resources involved, implementing the event, and monitoring and evaluating the
event. Structured event management and the use of new media can make it easier
to attract the number of online visitors to be able to enjoy holding FKY 2020 even
though it is still in the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
