Abstract
Self-regulation.is.one’s ability to be determined in achieving a certain goal. Good selfregulation.will.influence.the process and expected results. If a person is able to appropriately regulate him or herself, he or she will succeed. The approach in this research is the phenomenological qualitative approach. This approach is used because the experiences of the research subjects will be examined. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that there are aspects in the selfregulation of Qur'an memorizing resident students at the Rumah Qur'an An-Nisa, involving: being accustomed to do self-planning, avoiding procrastination, having the encouragement from oneself, parents and the environment, having faith and belief in Allah SWT, and being able to complete obligations and obey parents. The factors that influence the self-regulation of students who memorize Al-Quran involve internal and external factors. In the internal factors, there are selfunderstanding of strengths and weaknesses, knowing the methods of memorizing the Al-Quran, assessing the abilities, knowing the effects of memorizing the Al-Quran, self-evaluation, giving rewards and punishments, and sorting out environmental assessments. Meanwhile, the external factors of students consist of standard factors and reinforcement.
