HUBUNGAN RELIGIUSITAS DENGAN KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL SISWA MA AL-MU'MIN MUHAMMADIYAH TEMANGGUNG

This study aims to: 1) Measure the religiosity of class XII students at MA
Al-Mu'min Muhammadiyah Temanggung. 2) Analize the emotional intelligence of
class XII students at MA Al-Mu'min Muhammadiyah Temanggung. 3) Analize the
correlation of religiosity and emotional intelligence in class XII students at AlMu'min Muhammadiyah Temanggung.
This type of research is field research using quantitative approach. The
research population was the students of MA Al-Mu'min Muhammadiyah
Temanggung class 2020 as many as 67 students. This study was a population study,
i.e., taking the entire population to be used as a sample because the number of the
research subjects was less than 100. So, the research sample was 67 respondents.
Data collection was obtained through questionnaires and observations. Data
analysis used Pearson Product Moment correlation test.
The results showed that: 1) The students at MA Al-Mu'min Muhammadiyah
Temanggung had a level of religiosity in the moderate category, which was 67.2%.
One of the factors that affected the religiosity of the students was the boarding
school environment namely the residence of the students. In addition, the religiosity
of students was also supported by the knowledge obtained when studying in Islamic
school as well as religious activities in the boarding school itself. 2) Emotional
intelligence of the students at MA Al-Mu'min Muhammadiyah Temanggung
belonged to the category of moderate i.e., 53.7%. The factors that affected the
students' intelligence were religious behaviors that could emerge the peaceful
feeling, such as obligatory and commendable prayers, dhikr in the morning and
afternoon, reading the Qur'an, donation and commendable fasting.3) There was a
significant correlation between religiosity and emotional intelligence of the students
at MA Al-Mu'min Muhammadiyah Temanggung class of 2020 with a significant
value of 0.000 < 0. 05. The correlation belonged to the perfect category with
correlation coefficient value of 0.968.
