Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the model of project-based learning in improving meaningful learning in distance learning of Islamic Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam / PAI) in Sub Lesson "Mari Ikhlas Amal" (Let’s Sincerely Donate) at SDN (Elementary School) Pereng and SDN 2 Cucukan, Prambanan in 2021. The variable that become the target of change is the meaningful learning which is seen from the improvement ofthe mastery of the concepts, learning activities, responses of learners and critical thinking skills of learners with project-based learning models. This form of research is classroom action research using a cycle model consisting of two cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely: planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were the 18 students of grade V of SDN Pereng and 25 students of class V of SDN 2 Cucukan. The data collection techniques used observation of learning activities and documentation. The data analysis techniques used qualitative analysis model, which included 3 components, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the meaningful learning in the students of class V in Sub Lesson "Mari Ikhlas Amal" after the implementation of classroom actions with the use of project-based learning model.
