Abstract

This paper was made to analyze and test the effect of the Autocratic Leadership Style on Employee Performance and Motivation as a Mediator variable at Bank DBS Indonesia Business Management Support Division. This paper was conducted with a sample of 74 respondents using the purposive sampling method. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires with a rating scale of 14 indicators. In this research, the analytical technique used is Instrument Test which includes Validity Test and Reliability Test, Classical Assumption Test which includes Normality Test, Heteroscedasticity Test and Multicollinearity Test, Multiple linear regression test to test the effect between the independent variable and the dependent variable, and use path analysis test and Sobel test to test the strength of the indirect effect of the independent variable to the dependent variable through the intervening variable, and using t test and beta coefficient to test the hypothesis. The results show that 1. The autocratic leadership style has a significant effect on the performance of Bank DBS Indonesia employees in the Business Management Support Division. 2. The autocratic leadership style mediated by motivation does not significantly mediate the performance of Bank DBS Indonesia employees in the Business Management Support Division.
