Abstract

This research was conducted aimed at uncovering the application of internalization
of Islamic values to the formation of early childhood social morals at Muhammadiyah
Suronatan Elementary School Yogyakarta. This research uses qualitative approaches with
observation data collection techniques and in-depth interviews. Researchers found that the
internalization of Islamic values contained in Muhammadiyah Suronatan Elementary
School yogyakarta includes praying, tadarus Al-Qur'an before starting lessons, singing the
national anthem, darul arqom, and practicing daily programs namely Mutaba'ah
Yaumiyah that have been compiled by the school. The strategies implemented include six
strategies, namely the strategy of example, habituation strategy, lesson-taking strategy or
parable, advice strategy, strategy of giving promises / threats, and discipline strategy.
Factors supporting internalization are adequate facilities and infrastructure and parents
of student guardians who can cooperate with teachers. While the inhibiting factor is that
there are some parents of guardians of students who cannot cooperate with teachers and
pandemic conditions that do not allow students to enter school and require all activities in
the network.
