Abstract
This research is motivated by the discovery of the
phenomenon of da'wah through online social media, one of which is Instagram. The
purpose of this study was to determine the role of da'wah messages on the religiosity
of generation Z. This research was a qualitative descriptive study through content
analysis. The objects in this research are da'wah messages uploaded to Instagram
accounts @bagasmaulanasakti and @kartun.dakwah. The results of this study are:
(1) Da'wah messages contained on Instagram accounts @bagasmaulanasakti and
@kartun.dakwah have different
contentspecializations . If on the @bagasmaulanasakti accountthe majority of the
message uploads are in the form of videos/ vlogs, it is different with
@kartun.dakwah which has a character in the form of uploading images/comics
containing da'wah messages. The content of the da'wah message uploaded by
@bagasmaulanasakti has 5 content categories such as; (a) Veil and terrorism
content, (b)Dating content and pornography, (c) marriage and infidelity content , (d)
Quran recitation content, (e)motivational content and repentance. As for the
@kartun.dakwah account , it has
4 content characters suchas; (a) aqidah content , (b) moral content ,(c) shari'ah con
tent , (d) motivational content and alms. (2) Regarding the role of da'wah messages
in both accounts on the religiosity of generation Z, the authors carry out the validity
of the actions contained in the comments trail on the post. Which is also possible as
a reflection of the success of conveying the message of the two accounts so that they
can influence social media behavior which can be a reflection of the religiosity
of followers , the majority of whom are Generation Z. This study proves that the
Instagram accounts @bagasmaulanasakti and @kartun.dakwah are explicitly able
to provide a good impact in the form of politeness in communicating and socializing
for followers , the majority of whom are Generation Z through cyberspace
