Abstract

Prevention of pressure sores is the role of nurses to provide nursing care for patients. The efforts to prevent pressure sores should be done as early as possible since the patients identified at risk of developing pressure sores which includes the provision of support surface (interface pressure). Support surface (interface pressure) is used to manage external pressure on bone protrusions, which is the provision of an effective bed making. Objective of the research is to knoweffectiveness ofmethod an occupied bed making onpressure interface. Research design uses quasy experiment methode with control group pre test - post test with accidental sampling technique with 48 respondents devided in two group. Each treatment group was given an occupied bed making and control group was given angle rope bed making. Both groups were evaluated for 3 days. The measurement instrument is Portable Portable Interface Pressure sensor : Palm Q. Analysis technique used paired t-test and t independent test. This research shows that: 1) there are differences in interface pressure difference pre and post control group with significance 0,000 (p-value < 0,05), there was no difference in interface pressure difference pre and post intervention group with significance 0,866 (p-value > 0,05), 2) The pressure difference at the interface beds making intertervensi group and the control group with significance 0,075 (p-value > 0,05), H0 refused. The use of occupied bed making method have a more stable interface pressure for early prevention of pressure ulcers.
