Abstract
This study aims to find out how the Mind Mapping method is used for seventh grade students at Daaru Ulil Al Baab Middle School in the academic year. 2019/2020, in Arabic subjects, as well as to find out what obstacles teachers face in using the Mind Mapping method and using the previous methods. This research is a field research using a qualitative approach and taking the object at Daaru Ulil Al Baab Tegal Middle School in the academic year 2019/2020,as for the data collection tools in this study were observations and interviews as well as some documentation. The subject of this study was the seventh grade Arabic teacher at Daaru Ulil Al Baab Middle School, Tegal. Data analysis was carried out in an inductive way, namely data analysis that was based on specific facts and then concluded in general terms. The results of this study indicate that (1) the use of the Mind Mapping method in learning Arabic for seventh grade students at SMP Daaru Ulil Al Baab Tegal in the academic year 2019/2020, consists of preparation or planning, implementation and evaluation. In planning the teacher has prepared lesson plans, textbooks and several tools. In the implementation process, learning has answered the formulation of the problem in the research, as described in the presentation of the data. While the teacher evaluation process has used authentic assessment, which is a significant measurement of student learning outcomes which includes three domains, namely assessment of attitudes, impacts and constraints on students' learning outcomes.The use of the Mind Mapping method in learning Arabic for class VII students at SMP Daaru Ulil Al Baab Tegal academic year 2019/2020
