Abstract
Background: The Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic
caused by infection with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome
Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) can cause a psychological burden,
especially for healthcare workers who provide care for COVID-19
patients. This study aims to describe the psychological impact of
the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare workers. Method: This
study is a literature review which the reviewed articles are obtained
from PubMed and ProQuest. The articles were selected using
predefined and extracted keywords based on inclusion and
exclusion criteria. Result: In total, there were 20 articles that met
the inclusion criteria for review. The psychological impacts
experienced by healthcare workers due to the COVID-19 pandemic
are depression, anxiety, stress, fear, PTSD, and somatization.
Conclusion: The psychological impact experienced by healthcare
workers can cause a lot of disadvantages, so we need to prevent
and reduce the psychological impact of healthcare workers due to
the COVID-19 pandemic
